GS500 rear hugger:

Well, it took a while, but i finally got the hugger made for my GS and it's available to the rest of you GS'ers out there.
I made this hugger originally for a stock 2004 gs500f, mounting onto the existing chaingaurd and brake torque bar, but should fit up to an '89, I dont believe the parts have changed much since then. There is 1cm clearance on either side of the tire, so you if you have a slightly bigger tire it shouldn't be a problem.
The hugger is made from fibreglass cloth and epoxy resin (the resin cost is much more than standard polyester resin that is normally used in typical fibreglass applications, but the epoxy gives a stronger, better result and is also nicer to work with)

Comes in a primed fibreglass version, ready for paint (fibreglass/epoxy) - $160 (Canadian Dollars) + shipping + (2.9% of the total(hugger+shipping) for paypal fees if paying by paypal)

or

A carbon fibre version, just the outer layer is carbon fibre simply for those that want the carbon fibre look and to keep the cost down as well. The underside of this one is painted black and is ready to install as is. (fibreglass/carbon fibre/epoxy) - $190 (Canadian Dollars) + shipping + (2.9% of the total(hugger+shipping) for paypal fees if paying by paypal)

comes with install instructions and necessary hardware to mount it. Made for a very simple install, all you need is a drill, a 3/16 inch drill bit and a pop rivet tool.

Aber ohne eine Heckhöhlegung wird man da wohl nicht sehr viel von haben, oder ? Sieht man doch garnichts von.

Wofür ist das eigentlich gut, außer vllt Aussehen ? Gilt auch für 'n Bug-Spoiler.

Spritzschutz vielleicht?

Bugspoiler hingegen ist größtenteils Optik.

Yes it does serve a function, mainly to keep the rear suspension clean and free of road debris. If you've ever ridden in the rain or on dirt roads, i'm sure you know what i'm talking about. :P Of course its also a visual enhancement as well.

Ich hasse englisch, kann mir einer ganz kurz sagen, ob man dieses Teil bestellen kann und was das genau kostet, falls man das bestellen kann.
